Fun, adventure, and learning by doing!

This is not about having the longest lens or most expensive camera. It is about making the most of what you have and turning what you see into what you get.

We will focus our lenses on the incredible variety of fauna and flora. Shari will lecture participants in the field and at the lodges or camps on everything she knows about wildlife photography - both the theoretical and practical aspects. Shari's emphasis will be on "in the field" experience and instruction during actual shooting situations, as well as afternoon discussion sessions. Topics covered will include "understanding animal behavior," "seeing with the lens," "the components of a captivating wildlife photograph," "capturing the spirit of Africa," and "discovering and developing your own style." A special lecture will cover shooting specifically with 35mm SLR, digital, and even point-and-shoot cameras.

While large "big game" mammals, primates and birds will be the center of our attention, time will also be spent on other nature subjects such as reptiles and landscapes should clients want to do so. This shall be a memorable learning experience that will provide participants with new and wonderful techniques and a unique way of thinking about wildlife photography.
