Capturing Captives is a seminar and photography workshop that will have you taking great pictures at zoos and animal parks whether you use a several-thousand-dollar SLR with huge telephoto lens, or a point and shoot model.

In the seminar, the instructor will provide you with the basic techniques that are the foundation of photographic excellence. You will see a comparision of a variety of captive animal photographs shot with 35mm SLR with telephoto, APS (Advanced Photo System), 35mm point-and-shoot with built-in zoom, and a still digital camera. You will discover the advantages and disadvantages of each format as well as tips and tricks for special photo situations.

The following day, a 4-hour workshop will take place at the local zoo. Here you will utilize your newly gained knowledge to take the best captive wildlife shots of your life!
